Why Are There So Many People With Major Health Issues?

 THINK TOXINS!

It seems that everywhere we look, we are seeing or talking about sickness and dis-ease. By "dis-ease" I mean a state in the human body where there is an imbalance whereby there is a situation where the body is not at ease, or in a state of "dis-ease."

Why are there so many people who are sick? Why are there so many children who seem to be getting serious diseases? Why is it that diabetes, heart dis-ease and cancer are ranking among the top illnesses and diseases out there? Why is it that there were only one or two kids in my elementary school who had learning disabilities, but now there are huge numbers of children in most schools that have difficulty with many different aspects of learning?

Have you ever looked into just how many toxins are in the food, water, and even in the air we breathe? It really is quite phenominal! It's also quite scary! We often hear of horror stories of Vietnam Vets who were exposed to Agent Orange. Those are the ones that have gotten a lot of media exposure in the past years. We also hear about a lot of toxic waste sites that were cleaned up, like the one that was in the movie "Erin Brockovich", but what kind of toxins are affecting us on a daily basis? Again, ask  yourself, why are there so many people who are sick and have some sort of illess or disability? Again--

THINK TOXINS!

I would urge you to do some research on www.ewg.org to see just how BIG the problem really is! Most people have no clue why there are so many people who are sick. It's about time we all opened our eyes and our ears! Here is a list of symptoms and conditions that are linked to toxic overload in the body. Do you have any of these symptoms or conditions?  If so, you might start doing a little detective work into your own background and your environment to discover some of the sources of toxins you have been exposed to.
Toxic Overload Symptoms
Allergies....
Chronic colds and other infections....
Depression or changes in mood....
Fatigue....
Forgetfulness or memory loss....

Did you know that we can clean up these toxins in our bodies?  What do we do when our trash can gets full?  We take out the garbage.  Shouldn't we do the same for our bodies?

Why are so many people making themselves ill and slowly killing themselves by making poor health choices? Is it a personal or family problem; or should we blame our instant gratification society?

Did  you know that over the last three decades fast food has infiltrated every aspect of American society?  Fast food is now served at home, restaurants, stadiums, airports, zoos, high schools, elementary schools, pre-schools, universities, on cruise ships, and even at hospital cafeterias.

Just think about the poor guy in the hospital with coronary disease who is asking, "Why are you feeding me the same food that made me sick?"

Here are just some of the statistics:
  • In 1970, there was $46 billion spent of fast food.
  • In 2001, there was more than $110 billion spent on fast food
  • More money was spent on fast food last year than on higher education, personal computers, new cars, movies, magazines, books, recorded music and dvds combined.
Fast food has joined Hollywood movies, blue jeans and pop music as one of America¹s most prominent exports. Three new American fast food restaurants have opened every day for the last seven years in Japan, and Japanese people are catching right up to Americans with poor health statistics.
We exercise 9 times less, drink contaminated water, breathe polluted air, and eat infected animals.
  • In 1970, the average teenager drank 7 oz. Soda/daily.
  • In 2007, the average teen drank 3 times that amount (21 oz) and derived 9% of their daily calories from it.
There is 10 teaspoons of sugar in each can.  Many teens are drinking 5 or more cans a day!  Diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and heart disease are all rising among teens.  The question is, should it be treated with drugs? No, take away their soda!
Here are some interesting statistics from the Journal of Dentistry:
  • Many infants now bottle-fed soda.
  • Pepsi, 7-Up and Dr. Pepper licensed for baby bottles.
There are eight areas that have been closely linked to disease:
  1. Deficiencies: nutrients, water , sleep and exercise
  2. Abnormal immunity: autoimmune issues, inflammation, allergies, abnormal cell growth, low immunity, and vitality
  3. Injuries: trauma, surgery, neglect and abuse
  4. Contagions: bacterial, viral, parasites, insects and fungus (70% are transferred through hands.  The second highest percentage through a purse)
  5. Genetics/Age: time and DNA
  6. Toxins/Free Radicals: poison, pollution, chemicals, drugs, environmental toxins, accumulations in intestines, blood, fats, brains
  7. Abnormal Metabolism: obesity, diabetes, hormonal problems
  8. Stress: physical, mental, emotional, poor habits
Health Risks Associated With These Eight Areas:
  1. Deficiencies: energy, cardio, brain, bones, muscles, nerves, hormones
  2. Abnormal immunity: autoimmune, inflammation, allergies, abnormal cell growth, low immune, vitality
  3. Injuries:  trauma, surgery, neglect, abuse
  4. Contagions:  mold, flu, sore throat, herpes, STD, cardiovascular
  5. Genetics/Age: memory, muscles, bones, hormones, energy, reflexes, enzymes, abnormal cells, pain
  6. Toxins/Free Radicals: allergies, cancers, intestinal, blood, liver, Parkinson's, rashes, immune disorders, depression, fibromyalgia, MS, pain, autoimmune
  7. Abnormal Metabolism:  Chronic fatigue syndrome, constipation, depression, thyroid and more
  8. Stress:  systemic anxiety, free radicals, obesity, all disease
It has been shown that we as a society bring on about 80% of our diseases through poor lifestyle choices. The good news is that our body can and will heal itself with the proper tools, one cell at a time, with the assistance of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, antioxidants.
Healthy people can also get many benefits from the regular use of multi-vitamin and mineral supplements. Even the US government recommends that everyone should use some sort of
supplement daily.    Congress, Public Law 103-417 (DSHEA)

Our goal: to stop the origin of abnormal body function or poor health; which is different from stopping the symptoms! We can stop symptoms with drugs (anti-inflammatories, pain killers, immune-reducing drugs), but we need to stop the CAUSE.

We can prevent the cause of disease through: healthy diet, intestinal cleansing, lymphatic cleansing, sleep, stretching, detoxifying the joints, reducing sugar intake, restoring good flora in our digestive system.

Our cells make up everything in our bodies (our blood, lymph, tissue, organs, bones, muscles).  It is interesting to see what happens inside of them.

Inner World of a Cell

I would like to share one of my favorite videos (for educational purposes only). This was created by Biovision and Harvard University. It is called “The Inner Life of the Cell.”  This is the best representation of what is happening inside of cells that I have ever come across.  As you watch this video you can see why keeping our cells healthy is so crucially important to our overall wellbeing:

Everyday we seem to hear more scary reports about toxins in our food, our water, the air we breathe.  They are in building materials, clothing, cleaning products and even personal care and many baby products.

We have heard the argument from the tough guy who states things like, "Well, I don't even want to know about all of those toxins!  There are so many of them that it's impossible to get away from them.  I might as well have fun and live my life!  Besides, I'm going to die of something someday, right?"

What people don't seem to realize is that they are exposed to many of these toxins before they are even born!  Yes, you read it right.  Baby's in the womb are now known to have an average of 200 different toxins in their body before they are even born.

So what happens if you start out with exposure to toxins before you are born, and then are exposed to more toxins through the environment, food, water, etc. after you are born...and then you just keep being exposed to these same toxins over and over again?  You guessed  it.  Toxic overload.  This is what is refered to as the a Toxic Body Burden.

So what happens when you get a toxic body burden that is greater than what your body is able to eliminate through the normal processes (wastes being excreted through bowels, urine, breath, sweat etc?)  You guessed right again!  Your body begins to lack energy and then diseases begin to develop.  It's quite simple.  If you body is filled up with toxic garbage it can't function eficiently or properly.  It begins to affect the cells and the DNA in your body.  You begin to age faster, lack energy, get sick more often, and get into the never ending cycle of body systems failure and disease (dis-ease: when your body is in a state of imbalance and not in a state of ease), medications to help control the discomfort, and if it gets bad enough, death is the final result.

Every single cell in your body is surrounded by water (lymphatic fluid).  This fluid is there for a reason.  It is sort of like a second blood stream, and transports necessary things through the bloodstream and to cells and tissues.  It's primary job is to transport things to and from cells and tissues.  Now, think about each cell in your body as being a fish in a fish bowl.  You put the good food in the water and the fish eat it, but then the water starts to get cloudy and dirty from excess food and waste that accumulates in the water.  These excess wastes then have a chemical reaction that occurs between them, and they then start to produce some very unhealthy conditions for the fish to live in.  What would happen if you never cleaned the fish bowl?  You guessed it again - the fish would get sick and eventually die.  This is a great example of what happens to the cells in our bodys as a result of toxins.  Now, since our lymphatic system has no pump, like the bloodstream has with the heart, the only things that will help to move and clean up the lymphatic system are exercise and deep breathing.  (Exercise will help by creating sweat, which helps to remove toxic substances - but be careful, because if you sweat and then the sweat dries on the skin, it can be reabsorbed back into the system.  Always carry a towel or wear one around your neck to wipe off excess sweat when doing strenuous work or exercise).

To explain what we are dealing with to an even greater degreee, I am including three videos from the Environmental Working Group.  These video are from a study that was done on 10 Americans, which found 287 different toxins.  Please take time to watch these videos.  "Knowledge IS Power!"

If you have taken the time to review the videos above for yourself, you can see that we all are facing a very dangerous situation.  The good news is that we can do something to clean up these toxins in our body, and to support the body systems to protect ourselves, and even possibly repair some of the damage that exposure to these toxins has caused.

To see more about the toxins that have been reported in the media, and also some of the books we recommend to help you learn about them, see our website at:
