Does it seem like no matter what you do, you don't seem to have enough energy to get through your busy day? If you are like a big majority of people, then you would probably answer "YES" to this question. Everywhere you look, people are using coffee, cappuccino, and energy drinks to try and solve the issue of having too much day left after their energy is gone. Some report having no energy even when they wake up in the morning. From 2008 to 2012, energy drink sales grew by a whopping 60%. But do you really know what is in that energy drink? Take a look at this February 2013 report from CNN.
Good foods contain stored energy. That is what the carbs, fats and sugars are. Food must be digested, transported and metabolized to create energy for our bodies. If more fuel is consumed than the body can convert to energy, then it is stored. That is why eating more doesn't give us more energy. You can tell a lot about how much energy your body has by checking your pH levels. If you pH is in the normal neutral range of around 6.6, you probably have a pretty good supply of energy; however, if your pH is lower, like a huge majority of people, then you are more likely on the lethargic side of life.

The energy drinks have a lot more caffeine in them than most drinks. Caffeine is a stimulant and it makes most people feel more awake, but is it good for us? Stimulants actually cause our bodies to release more energy, not have more energy! Over time, this can take a toll, and we are actually more fatigued because of the stimulants. So what's the answer to low energy if it's not stimulants?
FOOD is the answer! Now, that being said, we have to consume food that has energy to give our bodies more energy. We can't consume processed, dead, junk foods and expect to have more "get up and go." You have probably heard the old saying, "You ARE what you EAT"? That saying is very true. The question is, what are you made of, ENERGY or GARBAGE?
Now you are probably wondering, which nutrients actually increase energy production in our bodies? Those would include B-Complex vitamins (Balanced B Complex), magnesium, zinc, iodine, L-Carnitine, and vitamin D3.

Some specific causes of low energy can be related to low thyroid function, adrenal fatigue (Burn-out), blood sugar imbalances (lack of protein and/or fatty acids, metabolic syndrome), anemia, lack of sleep, depression, and getting inadequate exercise. Stress can also wreck havoc on our bodies and cause all sorts of energy imbalances. Below are some supplements to help with these issues:

Energy isn't just a function of food, it is also mood related. Depression and discouragement makes you feel tired and less enthused about life. Depression and fatigue are usually linked.
Tips for a Better Mood:
- Meditate and pray to get in touch with your deeper spiritual awareness
- Get counseling, having someone to talk to about your troubles will often lift your mood
- Set goals and work to achieve something meaningful in your life
- Serve others less fortunate than yourself
My favorite natural mood enhancer is St. John's Wort. Here are a few links of interest http://www.chiro.org/nutrition/FULL/St_John's_Wort_Vs_Drugs.shtml

Lack of exercise can also be a big link to fatigue and even depression. Be sure to get enough moderate exercise from activities like walking, swimming and lymphasizing.
Many people have found lymphasizing helpful for many reasons, including fatigue, depression, detoxification and even weight loss. The reason that people do this is to help open and shut the lymph valves of their lymphatic system. The lymph system is what moves wastes and toxic materials out of the body. The only things that will move lymph are deep breathing and exercise, both of which many people never do. When you begin to lymphasize, it is recommended that you drink up to 2 glasses of warm water. The water helps to get the lymph fluid in your body moving.
Here is how it's done. Place both bare feet on the center of a mat at shoulder length apart. Without taking your feet off of the mat, begin to bounce. (Never take your feet off of the mat for this exercise). As you bounce, breathe 20 quick breaths through your nose to fill your lungs with air. then do 20 quick short breaths out through your mouth. to empty your lungs as much as possible. Keep repeating the breaths as you bounce. This creates a vibrational energy vortex that can help transform the cells in your body (including fat cells). Vibrational weight loss is all the rage in Hollywood right now, but unlike many of the stars, you don't need a machine to do it for you. It is best
to start lymphasizing for about 5 – 10 minutes first thing in the morning, and then lengthen the amount of time as needed. Lymphasizing can help increase the levels of oxygen in your body's cells. This can also be done with a mini trampoline (rebounder), just remember, don't pick your feet up and jump, just bounce! Below is a very interesting video from the pioneer of lymphasizing Dr. Samuel West.
